THE LARGE TANK IS THE CELL FEED TANK AND AS
SUCH IS THE ONLY TANK THAT THE POTASSIUM
HYDROXIDE SHOULD BE PUT IN.
THE SMALL TANK IS A FLASH BACK ARREST DEVICE
AND SHOULD ONLY HAVE WATER IN IT.

Our HGV. Heavy Goods Vehicle.System is
designed and built to make fitting and running the
system as easy as possible.
The system is essentially a plug and play
installation with only 3 power connection required.
Please follow our guide to produce a successful
installation.

You will need to fabricate a couple of brackets to
fit the system to your truck body or frame rails.
The system has no moving parts and the cell
should never be opened.
Your new HGV. System will only require 2 main power
connections, as per the picture on the right.

As the system is running at 24 volts and up to 35 amps max,
you should always try to make all connections as secure as
possible to avoid over heating the connections.
Your new system will also require a + supply from a live switch
wire taken from the diesel pump or the ignition system.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE SWITCH WIRE TO THE RELAY IS
TAKEN FROM A SUPPLY THAT IS ONLY LIVE WHEN THE ENGINE
IS RUNNING.
This is usually the diesel pump.
Petrol or Gasoline. You may need an auto-
electrian to find the correct wire.
NEVER ALLOW THE SYSTEM TO
OPERATE ABOVE 35 AMPS AS
SEVERE DAMAGE AND SYSTEM
FAILURE WILL OCCUR.
HOW TO CONTROL THE SYSTEM AMPS USAGE

THE AMPS DRAWN BY THE SYSTEM IS CONTROLLED
BY THE AMOUNT OF POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE YOU
INTRODUCE INTO THE WATER IN THE SYSTEM. EACH
SYSTEM WILL BE DIFFERENT DUE TO PLATE GAPS
USED DURING CONSTRUCTION.

START THE SYSTEM WITH 10 GRAMS OF POTASSIUM
HYDROXIDE AND THEN ADD ADDITIONAL FLAKES TO
THE HEADER TANK TO BRING THE SYSTEM UP TO 30
TO 35 AMPS.

THE POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE IS NOT CONSUMED
DURING THE PROCESS AND WILL ONLY NEED A SMALL
TOP UP EVERY IF YOU LET THE CELL RUN DRY.
The header tank must be
300mm or more above the
top of the cells.
The water feed is split between
the cells using the y connectors
supplied, the gas and water
return is also split joined before it
returns to the tank.

The top outlet is only to be
used for the gas supply to the
air intake of the engine.
NOTE.. When mounting the
cells, you must not attach any
fixings to the bolts on the side
which carries the power
plates, any of the other bolts
can be used.
The power plate connections
on all our cells are NOT
labeled as pos or neg as they
can be connected in any order.
We build cells which have 2 different
power connection points.
One type has 2 bolts which are longer
then the other bolts in the cell and are
positioned on each side of the cell
The second type will have 2 small
power tabs on one side of the cell. If
the tabs or power bolts are not
marked,you should assume that you
can connect in any order and the cell
will work as designed.
All the information you will require to
wire your new system is contained
within this simple diagram.  
With regards to the positioning of the
system, the cell should be fitted as low
down as possible in the engine bay, a
good place is down behind the front air
dam.
The header tank should be placed up
higher in the engine bay in an easy to
access position to make for easy filling etc.
The gas supply pipe which is the top pipe
coming from the header tank should be
connected to the air inlet pipe. If your
engine is turbo charged, connect it before
the turbo.
The first time you fill the system, you must
add 10 grams of the koh to the water
BEFORE you put it into the system, this is
to make sure the koh enters the cell on the
first attempt. If you fill the system with water
first and then add the koh, the system will
not start properly, and will not produce gas
at a good rate.
HYDROGEN GENERATOR INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION.

The amount of hydrogen your new hydrogen generator
will produce is directly related to the amount of power
you allow it to draw from your vehicle; this in turn is
related to the strength and mixture you use in your
system.

DO NOT USE TAP WATER. THIS WILL VOID THE
GUARANTEE AS IT WILL RESULT IN THE CELL FAILING.

DO NOT USE SALT AS AN ELECTROLITE. THIS WILL CAUSE
THE WATER TO TURN BROWN VERY QUICKLY

USE ONLY DISTILLED WATER OR PURIFIED WATER,FROM
YOUR LOCAL CHEMIST.£4.00 FOR 5 LITRES.
WITH
POTASSIUM HYDROXIDE, THIS CAN BE PURCHASED ON
EBAY FOR ABOUT £3 PER LITRE, OR £3 PER KILO. YOU
WILL ONLY NEED 7 to 8 GRAM MIXED WITH 1 LITER OF
DISTILLED WATER.

EACH KIT WE SELL.

FITTINGS YOU WILL REQUIRE TO COMPLETE YOUR
INSTALLATION.

PLEASE FOLLOW OUR INSTRUCTIONS  TO MAKE THIS A
SUCCESSFUL JOB.

The hydrogen generator will get hot during operation (
this is normal ) but to keep the heat as low as possible it
is advised to always install the generator in a position
where it will get a constant airflow. The ideal position is
between the front grill and the radiator. This may also
reduce the cable runs to and from the generator, the
engine bay may not be cool enough.

PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMPETENT ENOUGH

COMPETENT PERSON.
